KRISTINE CACCIAMANI - Owner, Director, Instructor
Kristine Cacciamani has been teaching all genres of dance for 26 years. Whether it’s hip hop, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet or pointe, she is proficient in each style. However, it was her love of ballet, and more specifically, pointe, which fueled her dance passion. She studied for several years as a member of The Joffrey Ballet Company in NYC where she learned the true art of dance and proper technique from impeccable instructors.
As a teenager she taught at local studios and was a student of the Tottenville Dance Academy. In 1999 she opened her own studio in Staten Island, NY and currently imparts the same strict teachings of her days at Joffreys to her current students.
She furthers her dance education by attending Pulse dance events, in addition to several NYC workshops throughout the year.
An award winning choreographer, her studio has won multiple honors for choreography, technique, showmanship and costumes. Her approach to who teaches at her studio is unorthodox. She believes in hiring only true professional dance instructors and does not rely on older students and teen demonstrators.
Kristine believes in giving back to the dance community and sponsors charity events throughout the year. She has sponsored many fundraisers and her students perform in several charity shows annually. In January 2013, she achieved her proudest charitable accomplishment by working alongside Abby Lee Miller and several members of the hit TV show “Dance Moms” to raise money for victims of Hurricane Sandy at an enormous dance event organized by her studio One Step Ahead Dance.
She also believes every dancer should have their moment in the spotlight and encourages that ALL students in her studio have a special part or role during performances.
